Our Philosophy

Because Christ commanded us in Mark 10:14 to "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to them", King of Kings Lutheran Church established a Christian Kindergarten and Preschool. Our school provides a joyful, loving environment in which children build a spiritual frame of reference for living. The learning creates a foundation for later, more formal education.

We believe children learn best through hands-on activities that involve the children's senses. Children need to explore, manipulate, experiment, and move about to understand the world. Children learn best through direct experience and trial & error. Problem solving, decision-making, and free choice are important  components of early learning.

Lord, help us to recover hope for our child's sake.
Help us to trust You for our child's sake.
Keep us strong for our child's sake.
Help us to protect our child.
Help us to love always, as
You have loved us, for
our child's sake.
Amen.

Governing Body

King of Kings Lutheran Preschool is under the direction of King of Kings Lutheran Church.  Although the school is self-supporting, the church provides the facility for the preschool and considers it a part of the church's ministry.

Preschool and Kindergarten

Children need to learn how to give and receive love. They can experience and participate in the family's expressions of love every day. When our expressions of love are repeated every day, love rituals are formed. What daily rituals of love have developed between you and your child? Is it a wink, a ruffling of the hair, a good-night kiss, a Jesus song or prayer? Whatever love rituals have grown between you and your child, remember that they can nurture your child's faith, hope, and love of God.
